Biological age: An estimate of physiological age derived from biomarkers (epigenetic clocks, blood panels), often diverging from chronological age.
Geroscience: The interdisciplinary field linking the biology of aging to disease prevention.
Healthspan: The portion of life spent free from chronic disease and major functional decline.
mTOR(mTOR): Mechanistic target of rapamycin; kinase that integrates nutrient and growth signals.
Senescence: Stable cell-cycle arrest accompanied by inflammatory secretion (SASP).
